Availability on brokers connected through API

You may be looking for your company at a broker's site and see no availability. Possible situations and procedure.

You may be looking for your company at a broker and see no availability. Please check the broker's site and Rently at the same time. Make sure you have the “Check availability” option selected in Rently. This will end up in two different scenarios:

  • You try to create a new booking in the system, you see availability in the category/model, location and on the date you are looking for. You did the same search in the broker and see no results. You should contact us at integrations@rentlysoft.com with screenshots of your search in the system and the broker's site. We need to be able to see everything clearly. It is helpful if you do the same search for different locations and categories, to compare results. Do not contact by Whatsapp but by email to be able to give the correct follow up of the issue.
  • You try to create a new reservation in the system, you do not see availability in the category/model, location and on the date they are looking for. You have done the same search in the broker and see no results. In this case there is no need to contact us, because if the system has no availability, it is impossible to see availability in the broker.

Guidance on possible situations that compromise availability.

Here are some questions that refer to situations that may cause you to not be sending availability to the broker and depend on the system configuration:

  • Do you have a valid rate for the category and date you are looking for?
  • If you select rates in commercial agreements: are those selected rates in the commercial agreement of that broker still valid?
  • Are the vehicle model and category available for external systems?
  • Have you made changes or edits to your fleet without informing us?
  • Do you see a similar but different car in the broker? Please note that car models are not displayed exactly as you can see them in backend. Please submit the query to check this, with screenshots of the car you see on the broker site.
  • Do you have any overbooking settings that are blocking availability?
  • Do you have the cars in a service at Rently?
  • Does the category have a main model selected?
  • Does the branch have an active schedule? Is the branch active?
  • Do you have any holidays set on the calendar?
  • Do you have any outstanding claims pending resolution with the broker in question?
  • If your system has the availability setting by category, have you been mistakenly assigning cars on reservations with delivery dates in the future?
