Rently facilitates the digital contract signing process, ensuring that all agreements are formally recognized by the parties involved. The signing process can be done in two ways: in person or via email.

In-Person Digital Signature Process

  1. Access the Reservation: Go to the relevant reservation and select "Generate Contract."

If the rental agency has multiple contract templates, you can choose one at this step.

Beginning the Contract Signing Process:

Click on "SIGN" at the top of the generated contract to begin the signing process.

Client Signature:

  • Request Client's Signature: Ask the client to sign on the device's touchscreen.

  • Signature Confirmation: Once the client has signed, click "SIGN" to save the signature in the system.

Additional Options:

  • Cancel: If you need to exit without saving the signature, select "Cancel."

  • Clear: Allows the client to redo the signature if necessary.

Viewing the Signed Contract:

Once the signature is confirmed, you can view a PDF of the signed contract in the "History" and "Files" tabs of the reservation.

Email Digital Signature Process:

  • Access the Reservation: Enter the reservation and select the "Send contract by email" option.

This will automatically send the main contract to the client's email for signing.

Note: You will only see the "Send contract by email" button if no previously signed contract exists in the "Files" tab of the booking. You can manually delete older contracts to enable this option. The reservation must also be in "Quoted," "Reserved," or "Confirmed" status, with a start date later than the current date.

In Booking Configuration, you can activate the "Unrestricted Signature" feature to bypass these limitations, useful for sending updated contracts after modifying a reservation.
